Cong (叢 in traditional Chinese and 丛 in simplified Chinese) is a rare Chinese family name of Xiongnu origin. Its Chinese character first took the form of Jin (Gold 金) during EMPEROR Wu of Han's reign (157 BC – 87 BC) and later changed to Cong towards the end of the Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD). here is some additional information.
